Credit Card and Data Security
For the purposes of donations, HMC supporters may provide us with their credit card information. We only use this information to process the transaction as intended by the supporter.
Credit card transactions processed online through our website are passed through a secure, third-party-provided, SSL-verified connection that adheres to industry standard privacy and security standards.
For the purposes of donations, HMC does not provide refunds unless the donor contacts us within 24h at firstname.lastname@example.org to advise that an error was made.
If an agreement is made regarding the error, we will refund the agreed upon amount within 10 business days.
Use of Information
We do send email notifications with electronic receipts and acknowledgements of donations. We also email quarterly updates and event bulletins, however, only to those who have subscribed to our updates receive these types of communications.
Every email we send our supporters has an unsubscribe feature. You may ‘opt-out’ from receiving e-communications at any time by using the unsubscribe feature embedded in the email.
To provide users with more information on various issues, we may provide links to third-party websites. We do not, however, control those websites’ privacy policies or necessarily endorse their viewpoints.
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law and wherein we have good faith that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served to our non-profit organization.
